Description

  • Define the tone, cadence, openings, objection handling, and empathy of Ethos’s AI conversations.
  • Own the conversational AI strategy across call, text, email, and human-agent touchpoints.
  • Design seamless handoffs between bot and human agents with full context and no repeated information.
  • Own the multi-year roadmap for voice and text conversational AI across inbound and outbound use cases.
  • Decide which customer segments, products, and call types to prioritize based on unit economics.
  • Make build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions across the conversational AI stack.
  • Drive end-to-end launches for customer segments including script design, guardrails, QA, compliance sign-off, and traffic ramping.
  • Own the evaluation framework for quality, including conversion, compliance, empathy, and regression testing.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics to benchmark AI and human conversations against the same rubric.
  • Work with Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Sales, Ops, Marketing, and Lifecycle teams to ship, govern, and scale the platform.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience.
  • Meaningful experience with customer-facing communication channels such as email, SMS, push, in-app messaging, voice, or chat.
  • Direct ownership of a channel within a broader product initiative is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading PM teams or complex cross-functional organizations is preferred for Director-level candidates.
  • A track record of owning category-defining products end-to-end is preferred for Principal-level candidates.
  • Experience shaping a brand or product in a new communication medium.
  • Strong writing and copy judgment, with the ability to assess how AI conversation copy should land.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate CAC, LTV, payback, and contribution margin.
  • Experience shipping products built on frontier LLMs, or the ability to ramp quickly on LLM-native product work.
  • Experience writing production prompts, evaluating them, and preventing prompt drift.
  • 0→1 builder mentality and comfort shipping rough versions and iterating quickly.
  • Ability to work within regulated financial services and collaborate on compliance and governance topics.

Benefits

  • US national base salary range of $184,000 to $324,000.
  • Additional compensation may include bonus and equity.
