Description

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and keep books audit-ready.
  • Manage the order-to-cash process, including customer contracts, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
  • Own day-to-day financial operations, including the end-to-end procure-to-pay process and vendor management.
  • Use AI and automation tools to streamline financial operations and reduce manual work.
  • Evaluate and help implement systems and controls needed to scale, including QuickBooks Online today and a potential future ERP.
  • Coach one accounting team member and support mentorship across the finance function.
  • Partner cross-functionally, especially with Sales, to maintain clean revenue data.
  • Support audit work and manage relationships with external firms.
  • Balance speed and accuracy while building accounting processes and controls in a scaling startup.

Requirements

  • A few years of experience in a high-growth tech environment, with SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and experience going through the audit process.
  • Experience owning or supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
  • Comfort working autonomously without a detailed playbook.
  • Ability to work in a scrappy, startup-style environment and focus on what moves the needle.
  • Strong technical accounting judgment and the ability to answer accounting questions independently.
  • Interest in using AI tools to eliminate manual tasks and improve efficiency.
  • High trust, integrity, and comfort handling confidential information and wire controls.
  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Employer visa sponsorship is not currently offered for this role.

Benefits

  • Annual starting salary of $120,000 to $150,000, depending on skills and experience.
  • Unlimited PTO.
