Description

  • Lead secure design workshops with customers and incorporate security and compliance requirements into Azure solutions.
  • Design Azure architectures and landing zones with security, governance, identity, and hardening as core principles.
  • Define and document security controls, guardrails, and baseline configurations for customer environments.
  • Build, configure, and harden Azure environments, virtual machines, and related cloud resources.
  • Implement secure identity, network segmentation, perimeter security, and connectivity patterns such as VPN and ExpressRoute.
  • Support secure migrations and modernization of workloads into Azure and validate environments through testing and remediation.
  • Implement and manage Azure governance controls, including management groups and policies.
  • Configure and integrate Azure security and monitoring services to support operational readiness.
  • Serve as the senior technical lead for Azure delivery and act as the technical security escalation point.
  • Mentor consultants, conduct peer reviews, and contribute reusable security standards and patterns.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or security-focused engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering Microsoft Azure solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience securing and hardening enterprise cloud environments.
  • Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or customer-facing delivery roles.
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
  • Experience with Azure networking, including VNets, VPN, ExpressRoute, peering, and gateways.
  • Experience with Azure identity and access management, including Azure AD and hybrid identity.
  • Experience with Azure security architecture, auditing, and tenant/subscription governance.
  • Experience with Azure Site Recovery, infrastructure as code using ARM templates (JSON), and PowerShell automation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, stakeholder management, and risk awareness.
  • Ability to present security and technical concepts to customer stakeholders.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be a Green Card holder or U.S. citizen.
  • Must successfully pass required customer background checks and meet client data residency, access, and security requirements.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites as needed.
  • Preferred experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD security controls.
  • Preferred experience with secure application modernization using PaaS or serverless services.
  • Preferred experience with containers and Kubernetes (AKS) using security best practices.
  • Preferred experience with Azure database security and encryption.
  • Preferred experience with cloud security platforms such as Palo Alto or Barracuda.
  • Preferred experience supporting regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or SLED.
  • Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate certification is strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification is preferred.
