Description

  • Analyze and evaluate workers’ compensation claim payments using EnableComp’s proprietary software and tools.
  • Review payer payment documentation to determine compliance with state workers’ compensation fee schedules and/or PPO contracts.
  • Research and obtain medical records, implant invoices, and other supporting documents needed for claims submission.
  • Submit hospital claims and supporting documentation to insurance companies to support prompt and correct reimbursement.
  • Conduct timely telephone follow-up with payers to confirm receipt of documentation and drive reimbursement.
  • Prepare workers’ compensation initial bill packets or appeal letters using EnableComp systems and tools.
  • Maintain privacy and security of patient health information and other confidential or proprietary information.
  • Serve as a liaison between key client contacts and insurance companies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in healthcare billing or collections.
  • 1+ years of client-facing or customer service experience.
  • 1+ years of workers’ compensation billing and collections experience preferred.
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and related data requirements.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including basic office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed productivity targets and goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple competing tasks, and remain effective under pressure.
