Description

  • Own day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities.
  • Bring financial records up to date and maintain accurate books.
  • Manage bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online.
  • Reconcile credit cards, financial accounts, and transactions while identifying discrepancies.
  • Ensure Shopify transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting records.
  • Support inventory bookkeeping and reconciliation.
  • Categorize transactions and maintain organized financial documentation.
  • Assist with sales tax calculations, filings, and remittance where applicable.
  • Prepare accurate financial information ahead of tax deadlines.
  • Identify issues, investigate questions independently, recommend solutions, and communicate items requiring attention.

Requirements

  • Several years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Experience managing books for a U.S. or other Western company.
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Shopify bookkeeping, including tools such as Link My Books.
  • Experience with account, transaction, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Experience with inventory bookkeeping and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with U.S. sales tax processes preferred.
  • Accounting or bookkeeping credentials or certifications preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with clear, proactive, and prompt communication.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, ownership, and ability to work independently.
  • Availability during daytime hours in Philippine Time (PHT) and dedicated attention during agreed working hours.
