Description

  • Own and implement Elementl's nuclear project quality assurance strategy across the project lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the supplier qualification program and Approved Supplier List.
  • Qualify and requalify nuclear suppliers and oversee supplier audits, surveillances, corrective actions, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure QA controls are applied to licensing, engineering, environmental, site characterization, procurement, and technical deliverables.
  • Revise and implement the Quality Assurance Program Description and supporting procedures for document control, records, software QA, corrective action, and nonconformance control.
  • Coordinate QA requirements across Engineering, Licensing, Environmental & Permitting, Procurement, Project Management, and Legal.
  • Prepare the organization for NRC licensing applications, inspections, and supplier oversight.
  • Lead QA governance, including change control, deviation disposition, and escalation of quality issues.
  • Advise executive leadership on quality risks, supplier status, and corrective action trends.
  • Support hiring, development, and oversight of QA staff, contractors, and third-party assessors.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience leading nuclear quality assurance programs.
  • Experience with 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B and ASME NQA-1.
  • Current or previously qualified NQA-1 Lead Auditor credential, or ability to regain qualification promptly.
  • Hands-on experience qualifying and overseeing suppliers for safety-related or quality-affecting nuclear work.
  • Experience with NRC quality assurance requirements, including 10 CFR Part 21, 10 CFR 50.55(e), and NRC Regulatory Guide 1.28.
  • Experience auditing or overseeing architect-engineers, reactor vendors, EPC contractors, manufacturers, laboratories, or engineering consultants.
  • Experience developing QA procedures for design control, procurement, supplier qualification, records management, software QA, and corrective action.
  • B.S. in a STEM discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, military service, technical training, certifications, and relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience standing up a QA program for a new nuclear project, advanced reactor project, or first-of-a-kind deployment.
  • Preferred experience supporting NRC licensing, operating plants, operational readiness, startup and testing, or industry assessments through NIAC or NUPIC.
