Description

  • Lead on-premises deployment and installation of industrial automation software at customer sites.
  • Configure and troubleshoot OT network connectivity, infrastructure, and integrations with existing industrial systems.
  • Ensure deployments follow the Purdue security model and OT network security best practices.
  • Troubleshoot PLC vendor software, industrial communications, and system integration issues.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for deployed customers, providing ongoing troubleshooting and support.
  • Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, networking, and backup-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on complex issues and customer-specific integration needs.
  • Conduct customer training, technical workshops, and on-site enablement activities.
  • Support technical discovery, product demonstrations, and pilot deployments for prospective customers.
  • Maintain deployment documentation and provide recommendations on secure access, reliability, backup, and recovery practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Field Applications Engineering, Controls Engineering, Technical Support, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and installing software on premises at industrial customer sites.
  • Experience with OT networking, including connectivity, segmentation, secure access, and network deployment.
  • Understanding of the Purdue model and OT network security best practices.
  • Practical experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot vendor software such as Rockwell Studio 5000 or Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across controls, software, hardware, and networks, including industrial communication protocols.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, or another programming or scripting language.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Controls, IT, Cybersecurity, and Engineering teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
