Description

  • Lead technical initiatives to automate network engineering and improve reliability across Elastic’s global infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain software, codebases, tooling, and automations to support the scaling of the platform infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other partners in an inclusive, operationally focused environment.
  • Respond to major incidents, participate in prioritized problem management, and help prevent repeat customer impact.
  • Contribute to coding, technical design, solution development, resilience improvements, security work, bug fixes, and feature delivery.
  • Support complex customer concerns through the on-call rotation and operational troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering cloud network solutions.
  • Experience working with public cloud platforms, Go, and managed Kubernetes services is advantageous.
  • Strong customer-first approach to solving operational problems for both current and future needs.
  • Experience working in distributed teams or remotely is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate inclusively and build strong partner and team relationships.
  • Experience designing and building SaaS products in public cloud environments is a plus.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Crossplane or Terraform is a plus.
  • Experience building Kubernetes-at-scale infrastructure across multiple cloud providers is a plus.
  • Experience writing product features or functions in Golang or other programming languages is a plus.
  • Experience with Docker, Linux system administration on distributed systems, and the Elastic Stack is a plus.

  • Typical starting salary range of $189,800 to $232,900 USD.
