Description

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, security posture, and observability using infrastructure as code.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, artifacting, and deploying continuously merged code.
  • Mature and upgrade deployment pipelines and embed security processes into cloud infrastructure and delivery workflows.
  • Build self-service tooling and paved paths that enable engineers to ship without deep infrastructure expertise.
  • Integrate vulnerability scanning, artifact signing, SBOM generation, and secure build-runner configurations into the software supply chain.
  • Partner with security and compliance teams on SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 audits and evidence collection.
  • Participate in incident response, blameless postmortems, and tracked follow-up actions.
  • Document and codify infrastructure knowledge through runbooks, playbooks, threat-model notes, and system design decisions.
  • Mentor engineers on operational, secure-development, reliability, and architecture practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, including ownership of customer-facing systems.
  • Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider and team-based infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or another scripting/programming language.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration and CI/CD systems.
  • Working knowledge of cloud IAM and network security fundamentals.
  • Practical SRE experience, including Linux internals, networking, and debugging distributed systems under pressure.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel less than 10%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
  • Experience in a startup, high-growth, or regulated environment; audit support, threat modeling, database operations, service mesh, progressive delivery, or chaos engineering experience is preferred.
