Description

  • Own client-facing analyses and dashboards from discovery through delivery.
  • Conduct customer discovery, identify underlying needs, and define effective solutions.
  • Prioritize reporting roadmap initiatives based on customer input.
  • Build reusable standard and customer-specific reporting for multi-tenant datasets.
  • Write SQL and Python or PySpark in Databricks and query production databases when needed.
  • Contribute dbt models with the data engineering team when transformations belong upstream.
  • Explain data coverage, limitations, and methodology to customers.
  • Validate the accuracy of analyses and dashboards before release.
  • Collaborate with product, data engineering, and customer-facing teams to turn recurring requests into product capabilities.
  • Handle protected health information according to HIPAA and security requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience independently building and shipping analyses or reporting with SQL and Python or PySpark against large, complex datasets.
  • Strong SQL skills, including joins, window functions, and query performance optimization on large tables.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks or comparable platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Spark.
  • Experience presenting work to non-technical stakeholders, preferably external customers.
  • Demonstrated ownership of work from discovery through delivery.
  • Regular use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
  • Experience with dbt (preferred).
  • Experience building reporting on shared infrastructure for multiple customers (preferred).
  • Experience in healthcare, senior living, regulated data environments, BI, or dashboarding tools (preferred).
