Description

  • Serve as the first point of contact for help desk requests and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for a fully remote team.
  • Manage and maintain Mac and Windows devices, including setup, configuration, updates, and security compliance.
  • Handle end-to-end user provisioning for new hires and departures, including accounts, devices, and access.
  • Administer Google Workspace accounts, groups, and permissions.
  • Manage access to software and applications by granting, adjusting, and revoking permissions.
  • Work on day-to-day tasks with light oversight while independently completing smaller projects.
  • Grow into ownership of systems and take on more responsibility over time.
  • Document common issues and fixes and help maintain an internal knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Genuine interest in IT support and patience for helping users at different technical skill levels.
  • A quick learner with strong drive and aptitude, even without extensive prior experience.
  • Ability to take direction well and work independently with light supervision.
  • Some familiarity with macOS and Windows environments.
  • Hands-on exposure to device management such as JAMF or another MDM is a plus but not required.
  • Basic understanding of user account and access management, or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Experience with or comfort learning Google Workspace administration.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical colleagues.
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
  • Relevant coursework, a certification such as CompTIA A+, a degree, or equivalent hands-on experience is welcome.
