Description

  • Lead the technical delivery of a 12-engineer team to drive high-impact business and customer outcomes.
  • Shape technical direction and partner with Product Management on critical company-wide objectives.
  • Own large, ambiguous technical and product problem spaces with company-wide impact.
  • Write code daily and implement critical, complex, and foundational system components.
  • Influence roadmaps across organizations by breaking down silos and steering technical decisions.
  • Architect foundational systems that support new product capabilities and operate reliably at scale for hundreds of millions of users.
  • Provide senior technical leadership in a virtual-first environment and maintain high engineering standards.
  • Mentor senior engineers and raise the technical bar through coaching and example.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience working on a consumer user-facing team, not only a platform or developer-facing API product team.
  • Strong depth across at least three areas such as frontend, mobile, search, databases, storage, concurrency, or modern ML and LLM-based APIs and agentic frameworks.
  • Experience working on a consumer-facing product onboarding flow on web (preferred).
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotations when assigned to the team.
  • Experience leading technical work across team boundaries and influencing org-level roadmaps.
  • Strong communication skills for working across functions and levels.

  • US Zone 2 compensation range: $223,400–$302,200 USD.
  • US Zone 3 compensation range: $198,600–$268,600 USD.
