Description

  • Lead a team of backend and Android engineers to develop impactful features and scalable platforms.
  • Own the Merchant Tablet app experience, including the primary tablet surface used by merchants for live operations.
  • Drive engineering excellence through investments in reliability, observability, quality, and platform stability.
  • Collaborate with product, design, analytics, engineering, and operations partners to execute the roadmap.
  • Provide architectural guidance and support the technical direction of the team.
  • Lead initiatives such as AI-powered chat experiences for resolving live order issues.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing engineers across different disciplines.
  • Support professional development for a team of 9+ engineers.
  • Encourage innovation and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of industry experience.
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading full-stack product teams.
  • 2+ years of experience leading Android engineers.
  • Strong product sense and ability to act as a thought partner with cross-functional peers.
  • Experience selecting and adopting web technologies to improve testing and performance.
  • Customer-centric mindset and experience building platform services.
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to expand your skill set in a hyper-growth environment.
  • Adaptability, resiliency, and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
