Description

  • Continuously monitor, measure, and analyze data quality to maintain accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, gaps, and anomalies according to business rules and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement data validation processes and data profiling/cleansing techniques to maintain data integrity.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract, validate, and reconcile data.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for data improvement and present insights to stakeholders.
  • Support data migration, transformation, and reconciliation efforts and manage data sourcing, structuring, and standardization.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using AWS QuickSight and Tableau to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Content, Product, Sales, Technology) and the Data Quality Management team to optimize workflows and improve data collection processes.
  • Utilize automation and AI-powered tools where applicable, ensure compliance with data governance policies (including alignment with industry standards such as DMBOK), and contribute to development of data stewardship best practices.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a data steward, data analyst, or data governance role (preferably in the construction industry or a data-driven organization).
  • Proficient in SQL for query writing, data extraction, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with AWS QuickSight or Tableau Desktop/Tableau Prep (preferred).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation.
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of data governance, quality frameworks, and data lifecycle management, and experience with data profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.
  • Ability to analyze and manage large datasets, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and collaborate effectively, and a self-starter mindset.
  • Familiarity with the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) is preferred; willing to travel up to 10%; must be located in the continental United States (preference for Eastern Time Zone) and authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; background check required.

  • Salary range $65,000–$75,000 (final offer may vary based on geography and experience).
