Description

  • Support the development, creation, testing, and commissioning of PLC and HMI/SCADA programs for conveyor systems and related equipment.
  • Assist with initial code development while following established in-house programming standards.
  • Ensure system control and monitoring meet customer specifications and project requirements.
  • Develop detailed system documentation, including Descriptions of Operations and Functional Design Documents.
  • Conduct system testing, complete field-testing documentation, and perform commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, customers, and project teams to define scope, design requirements, and implementation needs.
  • Prepare fully annotated PLC programs and ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Complete redline tracking and prepare as-built submittals for final documentation.
  • Perform field commissioning, testing, and turnover of completed systems to customers.
  • Participate in customer training and instruction sessions during project closeout.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency with Rockwell Automation platforms such as RSLogix and Studio 5000.
  • Strong knowledge of Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and other industrial control networks.
  • Hands-on experience with FactoryTalk View SE and ME software; familiarity with additional platforms/applications is a plus.
  • Solid background in HMI development and integration.
  • Ability to travel 65% to 75% for commissioning and start-up activities, including some weekends.
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within project teams and with other programmers on shared projects.
  • Great attitude, work ethic, and common sense are required.
