Description

  • Develop, create, test, implement, and commission PLC programs for conveyor systems and related material handling equipment.
  • Work with project managers, customers, and team members to define project specifications, scope, and design requirements.
  • Prepare fully annotated PLC programs that comply with system design drawings, customer requirements, codes, and project specifications.
  • Test and document software and program testing procedures in line with customer and in-house documentation standards.
  • Complete commissioning documentation for L1 and L2 commissioning activities.
  • Perform field commissioning, start-up, and testing of assigned projects as part of a project team.
  • Deploy and turn over tested systems to customers after successful commissioning.
  • Travel to job sites as required for commissioning, start-up, and customer training sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience with Rockwell RSLogix and ControlLogix platforms.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet/IP communications, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and other industrial control networks.
  • Preferred experience with Proface and/or PanelView software.
  • HMI experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel 65%-75% for on-site commissioning and start-up.
  • Ability to travel on some weekends.
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work effectively within project teams and with other programmers on shared projects.
  • Great attitude, work ethic, and common sense are required.
