Description

  • Perform recurring backup health checks across client environments using Veeam, Azure Backup, Datto BCDR, and SaaS Protection.
  • Review backup histories, repository capacity, recovery points, offsite storage, and protection configurations to identify failures or gaps.
  • Conduct file-level and Azure Backup recovery tests and remove temporary recovery resources after testing.
  • Review Datto RMM patch-compliance tickets, investigate failed updates, and perform approved remediation activities.
  • Validate patch installation and endpoint compliance, coordinating authorized reboots when required.
  • Perform routine infrastructure health checks and first-line troubleshooting using documented procedures and checklists.
  • Create and maintain detailed tickets with actions taken, evidence, screenshots, outcomes, and affected devices.
  • Escalate persistent backup, patching, device availability, and infrastructure issues with relevant troubleshooting details.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to support timely incident resolution and update technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, including monitoring, file-level recovery, repository management, and capacity checks.
  • Practical knowledge of Azure Backup, Recovery Services vaults, restore points, and file recovery.
  • Experience reviewing backup integrity, investigating failures, and performing test restores.
  • Proven experience using Datto RMM for endpoint monitoring, patch deployment, compliance verification, and remediation.
  • Experience troubleshooting failed Windows updates, patching issues, and reboot-related problems in Windows Server and workstation environments.
  • Experience working in an MSP or structured IT operations environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ticketing systems, technical documentation, and checklist-driven processes.
  • Clear written English communication skills and the ability to document concise technical updates and remediation outcomes.
  • Understanding of MFA, least-privilege access, secure remote administration, data protection, and change-management procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound escalation judgment, and follow established operational and security procedures.
  • Familiarity with Datto BCDR and SaaS Protection platforms (preferred).
  • Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge (preferred).
