Description

  • Serve as the highest-level technical escalation point for Level 1–3 engineers.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex infrastructure and cloud issues.
  • Design, implement and optimise Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, SharePoint and Teams Phone solutions.
  • Lead complex cloud and infrastructure projects from solution design through delivery.
  • Design, support and improve enterprise networking, including firewalls, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, WAN and internet connectivity.
  • Conduct security reviews and vulnerability assessments, and implement remediation plans and security controls.
  • Support compliance initiatives, incident response, security investigations, SIEM and security monitoring solutions.
  • Develop technical standards, procedures, documentation, diagrams, knowledge articles and SOPs.
  • Mentor engineers, review technical designs and drive service-quality and operational improvements.
  • Act as a trusted client advisor in technical strategy meetings, reviews and pre-sales solution scoping.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT industry experience, including 5+ years in an MSP supporting multiple customers.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 administration and architecture experience.
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Azure, Microsoft operating systems and cloud infrastructure.
  • Advanced networking and firewall administration experience, including enterprise Wi-Fi, VPNs, routing, switching, VLANs, WAN and internet connectivity.
  • Experience with endpoint security, backup and disaster recovery, cybersecurity principles, PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Ability to design, troubleshoot and improve complex infrastructure environments.
  • Experience implementing security controls, remediation strategies, security monitoring, incident response and investigations.
  • Knowledge of Essential Eight, CIS Controls, NIST and cyber insurance compliance requirements.
  • Proven technical leadership, mentoring, client-facing communication and stakeholder-management experience.
  • Microsoft Sentinel, SIEM, Microsoft Defender, Azure Virtual Desktop, Cloudflare, Ubiquiti UniFi, Sophos Firewall, Teams Phone, ConnectWise and ITIL experience are desirable; relevant Microsoft, networking, cybersecurity and ITIL certifications are preferred.
