Description

  • Design and build machine learning systems that process data sets from large consumer services.
  • Use unsupervised, supervised, and deep learning approaches to detect fraudulent behavior in real time.
  • Build and optimize systems, tools, and validation strategies to support new product features.
  • Help design and build distributed real-time systems and platform features.
  • Develop large-scale machine learning pipelines using big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, HBase, and Cassandra.
  • Build new systems on top of real-time streaming technologies such as Kafka and Flink.
  • Improve core detection algorithms and automate the full training process.
  • Contribute to the architecture that enables real-time unsupervised machine learning at scale.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Java, Shell, and Python development.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as JPA2 and Hibernate is a plus.
  • Experience with Cassandra, HBase, Flink, Spark, or Kafka is a plus.
  • Experience with the Spring Framework is a plus.
  • Experience with test-driven development is a plus.
  • Preferred based in Calgary, but the role can be fully remote.

  • Annual salary range of CAD $120,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience.
