Description

  • Own end-to-end technical strategy for assigned accounts, from discovery through production deployment and consumption growth.
  • Lead architecture discussions and design scalable, production-grade solutions for data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
  • Advise customer architects, engineering leaders, and directors on technical strategy and solution design.
  • Drive technical wins in competitive opportunities through custom-built Databricks solutions.
  • Develop a technical specialization and serve as a team resource in that domain.
  • Coordinate DSAs, SSAs, partners, and other cross-functional resources to address complex customer needs.
  • Provide structured customer and competitive feedback to influence product direction.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
  • Strong Python and SQL coding skills, including live coding, debugging, and solution building.
  • Deep expertise in distributed data systems, including scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
  • Databricks Platform proficiency, or the ability to gain proficiency rapidly, with a developing specialization in areas such as streaming, ML/AI, governance, or migrations.
  • Ability to lead architecture discussions, whiteboarding sessions, design reviews, and trade-off analysis with senior technical stakeholders.
  • Experience deploying production solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure, security, and governance considerations.
  • Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth within customer accounts.
  • Ability to communicate complex architectures and business value to technical and executive audiences.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Databricks certifications, experience with competing platforms, data/AI or cloud-provider experience, and industry domain expertise are preferred.

  • Local pay range of $180,000–$247,500 USD.
