Description

  • Craft and execute a long-term vision and strategy for Authentication.
  • Balance strong security requirements with a frictionless user experience.
  • Recruit, build, and mentor engineering talent to scale security infrastructure.
  • Serve as the voice of Security Engineering across the organization.
  • Drive data-informed decisions at the executive level.
  • Represent Databricks security innovations at academic and industry conferences.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data security or a related field.
  • Expertise in two or more of the following areas: Authentication, Network Security, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, or Detection & Response.
  • Experience building systems at large-scale internet companies is a strong plus.
  • 15+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with high availability.
  • Leadership experience leading across functional and organizational lines.
  • Strong communication skills to explain and evangelize data security to senior leaders.
  • Bias to action and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
  • MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
