Description

  • Develop representative threat suites and configurable network environments for scaled security testing.
  • Define testing scenarios and automated test harnesses to evaluate detection, mitigation, and response capabilities.
  • Conduct application security assessments focused on OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities and API security.
  • Assess wireless and RF security across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee networks.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning, risk assessments, and manual verification of security impacts.
  • Execute penetration tests across hardware, software, firmware, RF, and network components.
  • Develop custom exploits, proof-of-concept attacks, and threat-emulation environments.
  • Document technical findings, assess exploit effort and risk, and provide actionable remediation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and external stakeholders; lead briefings and training as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience across three or more relevant areas, including penetration testing, red teaming, network security, exploit development, reverse engineering, or vulnerability assessment.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Strong oral communication skills, including experience leading briefings, customer outreach, and user training.
  • Strong written communication skills and experience producing technical reports, case documentation, and system documentation.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical analysis into clear findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Professional certification such as OSCP, PNPT, GPEN, CEH, or similar is preferred.
  • Experience developing complex exploits and proof-of-concept attacks is preferred.
  • Experience with firmware analysis, binary exploitation, embedded systems security, cloud platforms, and NIST SP 800-53 is preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $155,000–$170,000, commensurate with experience and technical skills.
  • Remote work arrangement with potential travel to customer and field sites in Virginia.
  • Potential 1099 hourly opportunities for certain projects.
