Description

  • Guide authors through the coaching program from onboarding through manuscript completion.
  • Set expectations, manage milestones, and ensure a seamless author experience.
  • Continuously refine and adapt the multi-stage coaching process to fit different author needs and project types.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and improve templates, guidelines, and other program resources.
  • Monitor program progress, identify roadblocks, and maintain high-quality coaching delivery.
  • Work closely with product, editorial, and other internal teams to align on goals and incorporate feedback.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for authors throughout their coaching journey.
  • Provide clear, encouraging communication to support and keep authors on track.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in publishing, editorial coaching, author services, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Strong background in project management, client success, or program coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and empathetically.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, narrative structures, and genre conventions across different forms of writing.
  • Ability to balance empathy and support with structured guidance and timeline adherence.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, Notion, Airtable, or similar project management platforms is a plus.
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
