Description

  • Lead the transition from TestSigma and other legacy tools to a modern Playwright-based automation framework.
  • Use AI tools and prompts to generate test scenarios and scripts, then review and refine the outputs for feasibility and accuracy.
  • Design and execute functional, integration, and regression tests for web and mobile applications.
  • Perform API validation, including checking connections, logs, and results.
  • Collaborate with Tech Leads to determine which features should be automated versus tested manually based on priority and budget.
  • Analyze defects using a risk-based approach and prepare comprehensive exit reports before production deployments.
  • Help establish a new quality assurance approach during a department-wide restructuring phase.
  • Support the QA needs of a scrum team as the sole QA when required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in both manual and automation testing within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong ability to structure test frameworks for large projects, including separation of scenarios, test data, and Page Object Models (POM).
  • Expert proficiency in Playwright, which will be the primary framework for the automation rebuild.
  • Strong scripting skills in C# (preferred) or Python.
  • Essential experience with Postman for backend and API validation.
  • Deep experience using AI tools to generate, debug, and optimize automation scripts.
  • Ability to identify and reduce flaky tests through effective assertion strategies.
  • Comfort working as the sole QA within a scrum team during a restructuring phase.
  • Prior experience with Azure and Cosmos DB is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SOAP UI for testing legacy or specialized backend services.
  • Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation.
