Description

  • Provide legal and regulatory advice for Crypto.com’s U.S. CFTC- and SEC-registered businesses.
  • Serve as the legal expert on U.S. and cross-border rules affecting CFTC-registered exchange, clearinghouse, futures commission merchant, introducing broker, and broker-dealer activities.
  • Advise on legal and regulatory issues involving prediction markets, derivatives, tokenized securities, and other securities products.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify, analyze, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks associated with new products and services.
  • Support business units with contract terms and conditions, related negotiations, licensing matters, and data provisioning.
  • Draft, review, and update policies, procedures, terms and conditions, and other trading rules for regulated products in the U.S.
  • Represent Crypto.com in discussions with the CFTC, NFA, SEC, and FINRA, as well as with regulators, financial partners, and other external audiences.
  • Review marketing, sales, and educational materials for compliance with applicable CFTC, NFA, FINRA, and SEC requirements.
  • Work with external counsel to ensure arrangements comply with laws and regulations in all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with legal teams across the U.S., APAC, and EU on regulatory matters and product support.

Requirements

  • Qualified and licensed lawyer with 3 to 5 years of experience in financial product legal and regulatory work.
  • Experience handling issues for CFTC- and SEC-regulated clients in a major law firm or within a licensed entity such as an FCM, U.S. exchange, broker-dealer, or prediction markets business.
  • Excellent knowledge of U.S. financial laws and regulatory structures, including their cross-border interaction.
  • Track record of maintaining licenses and helping build products and operations under applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage high volume and competing demands.
  • Ability to communicate concisely and effectively with business teams and management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Willingness to accommodate calls and meetings across different time zones when required.
  • Ability to identify problems and propose practical solutions.
