Description

  • Serve as the Office of the CFO for private equity healthcare portfolio companies and build a diagnostic framework to improve finance effectiveness.
  • Lead implementation of portfolio support capabilities, including bottoms-up annual budgets and forecasts using healthcare operating drivers and metrics.
  • Prepare financial management reports with detailed disaggregation by clinic, specialty, procedure group, business unit, and payer group.
  • Analyze performance across key metrics and compare actuals and year-to-date results against prior year, forecast, and budget.
  • Assess finance subfunctions such as revenue cycle management and develop or modify analytical tools, models, metrics, and methodologies.
  • Build automated revenue waterfall models, physician compensation models, and other decision-support tools.
  • Support cash management efforts, including monthly and 13-week cash flow forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio company stakeholders while collaborating with internal team members to deliver client service.
  • Mentor colleagues and help project teams resolve complex, multi-faceted issues.
  • Contribute to compliant AI-enabled client solutions and stay current on emerging AI tools and techniques.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A at a private equity-backed company or in a client-facing advisory role such as restructuring, performance improvement, investment banking, or due diligence.
  • Healthcare industry experience, preferably with healthcare service organizations such as hospitals, multi-site practices, MSOs, health plans, risk-bearing care delivery models, healthcare IT, care coordination, pharmacy, or enablement services.
  • Experience with advanced revenue cycle analytics and modeling, including hindsight analysis, cash waterfall models, and zero-balance analysis.
  • Proven success building strong client relationships.
  • Experience working with controllers and accounting teams and understanding revenue recognition, income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow drivers.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills with experience building complex financial models and executive dashboards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or SQL is a plus.
  • Healthcare M&A transaction experience is a plus, including investment banking, financial due diligence, or operational due diligence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% based on client needs.
  • Comfort responsibly using firm-approved AI tools and openness to learning emerging technologies in line with company policies.
