Description

  • Lead a global Sales Engineering team focused on Search & Lake product lines and ensure the success of new product launches.
  • Own full people leadership responsibilities including hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, and coaching.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship to SEs on technical and non-technical pre-sales techniques for securing new clients, managing customers, and driving account expansion across multiple solutions.
  • Assess and develop each team member’s technical capabilities to ensure they maintain required knowledge for effective pre-sales duties.
  • Reinforce sales methodology and best practices and ensure proper use of the CRM system.
  • Support Sales Reps and SE teams with sales campaigns and customer management activities to achieve revenue targets.
  • Assess customer information, identify problem areas, formulate relevant solutions, and present those solutions effectively.
  • Deliver sales presentations, present technical product information, conduct product demonstrations, and execute Proof of Value events.
  • Provide periodic performance reviews, handle personnel issues, and create personal and professional development opportunities for team members.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in presentations in person, via telephone, and through remote conferencing with executive-level customers and leadership.
  • Background of successfully selling into both new and existing customers.
  • Ability to teach identification of opportunities using consultative selling methodologies.
  • History of successfully leading a technical pre-sales team that drives target attainment.
  • Must be able to lead a team and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual quota requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent AND 3–5 years of experience in a customer-facing role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • Position may require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties.
  • Proven self-starter able to manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Background in Cloud, Security, or AI/ML preferred.
