Description

  • Provide technical recommendations to resolve complex infrastructure issues and support strategic technology decisions for the PMO and ESMC portfolio.
  • Conduct analyses of alternatives for data analytics, visualization, and AI/ML platforms, including COTS and GOTS solution evaluations.
  • Lead long-term technology strategy, roadmap planning, and capacity planning to align infrastructure with future business goals.
  • Research emerging products and services and translate technical findings into briefings, whitepapers, and reports for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform periodic technical assessments of programs and projects, including progress, work product quality, schedule, and cost management.
  • Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure with high availability and performance.
  • Enhance application architecture using cloud-native solutions such as ElasticSearch, Kibana, and containerization to improve performance and cost efficiency on AWS GovCloud.
  • Support application sizing, usage estimates, technical configurations, and integration planning during technology upgrades.
  • Assist in implementing and managing a Data Fabric to improve data integration and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement access controls, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in systems or cloud infrastructure engineering in an advisory capacity.
  • Deep expertise with AWS, especially GovCloud, and practical experience with another major cloud platform such as Azure or GCP.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, as well as cloud-native tools like ElasticSearch and Kibana.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Demonstrated experience working within government security and compliance frameworks, such as IT-II or Secret clearance environments.
  • Experience supporting the SDLC for government systems and working with Agile development methodologies.
  • Preferred: professional cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Preferred: experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack.
