Description

  • Collaborate with the team to establish, contribute to, and uphold the creative vision for each game.
  • Define the visual look of the project and elevate artists' work to maintain craft quality.
  • Create 2D and 3D concepts hands-on.
  • Establish style guides and specifications to define and document the project's art direction.
  • Communicate the art style across environments, characters, weapons, props, animation, and VFX.
  • Develop art team milestones through clear direction and sustainable scoping.
  • Lead and manage relationships with external art contractors.
  • Mentor, guide, and help grow the art team, including direct management of an art team member.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of related experience as a 3D Game Artist.
  • Proficiency working across a variety of stylized art styles.
  • Previous experience as an Art Director or senior artist with at least one shipped AA or AAA title.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing environment, character, and event concepts.
  • Proficiency in both 2D and 3D art concept creation at a high level of quality.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in concept, modeling, environments, characters, lighting, VFX, and UI/UX.
  • Ability to communicate direction clearly, provide effective critiques, and receive feedback.
  • A flexible, proactive, startup-minded approach to problem-solving.
