Description

  • Provide application maintenance and support for an in-house system with critical dealing and accounting functions.
  • Identify, triage, and resolve bugs and production issues in SCOBOL, COBOL85, and Pathway-based programs.
  • Monitor and support batch jobs that run during intra-day and overnight windows.
  • Perform proactive and reactive incident management to minimize downtime and business disruption.
  • Develop and deliver feature enhancements in SCOBOL, COBOL85, and related modules.
  • Support and optimize application integrations with MQ and CONNECT:DIRECT.
  • Manage and optimize ENSCRIBE databases and ENFORM reports for reporting and transaction needs.
  • Use TMF for transaction integrity and recovery.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting using HP NonStop utilities such as FUP, TEDIT, and PERUSE.
  • Maintain documentation, share knowledge with internal teams, and follow best practices for coding, testing, and secure deployment.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting and developing applications on HP NonStop/Tandem systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SCOBOL and COBOL85.
  • Experience working with Pathway-based applications.
  • Experience with batch processing, incident handling, and production support.
  • Knowledge of MQ and CONNECT:DIRECT integration.
  • Experience with ENSCRIBE databases and ENFORM reports.
  • Familiarity with TMF transaction management and recovery.
  • Experience using HP NonStop utilities such as FUP, TEDIT, and PERUSE.
  • Ability to document changes clearly and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Experience in maintaining legacy applications while supporting modernization efforts (preferred).
