Description

  • Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for assigned indirect spend areas aligned with business and financial objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, including market analysis, RFx development, execution, complex negotiations, and contract management.
  • Use spend analytics and market intelligence to identify cost savings opportunities and report progress against savings targets with a total cost of ownership perspective.
  • Champion the use of Coupa’s spend management platform to improve efficiency, visibility, and compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2 procurement specialists or category analysts.
  • Provide coaching, formal performance reviews, and support for team career development plans.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, accountable, and continuously improving team culture.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex negotiations and stakeholder challenges.
  • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and conduct regular business reviews to drive performance, innovation, and value creation.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders across functions such as Marketing, IT, HR, and Finance and act as a strategic procurement advisor.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and category management, preferably in indirect procurement categories.
  • 1-2 years of formal or informal people leadership, mentorship, or team lead experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and value beyond savings, such as risk mitigation and improved service levels.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with experience managing complex, high-value contracts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex spend data and market research into actionable insights.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Direct experience using the Coupa platform is a significant plus.
  • Experience managing global categories in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or software company is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
