Description

  • Lead the design and implementation of a scalable Medallion architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
  • Define standards for ingestion, transformation, serving layers, data quality, and reliability across domains.
  • Translate ambiguous requirements from Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations into scalable data solutions.
  • Develop data models, including standardized metrics, dimensions, and business logic, to support analysis.
  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data transformation pipelines using tools such as Fivetran and dbt.
  • Ingest data from application databases, event streams, and APIs into Snowflake.
  • Optimize storage, schema design, and SQL performance for large-scale datasets.
  • Implement data quality, monitoring, observability, alerts, tests, and lineage practices.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to maintain and troubleshoot data models and support analytical needs.
  • Document data schemas, pipeline architecture, and runbooks.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Senior Analytics Engineer or Senior Data Engineer building pipelines, data models, and BI infrastructure.
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL and Python.
  • Expert-level experience with Snowflake, Azure, Fivetran, and dbt.
  • Hands-on expertise with at least one orchestration framework such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including star schemas and normalized versus denormalized structures.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing a Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
  • Experience building ELT/ETL workflows and integrating APIs or webhooks.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience at a SaaS company is preferred.
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment.
