Description

  • Consult with clients on cloud-native security challenges and solutions.
  • Design and advise on threat models and cloud-native security architectures.
  • Improve the security of Kubernetes, containerised, and cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Apply DevSecOps practices and automate security testing in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Harden delivery pipelines and support software supply-chain security initiatives.
  • Use enterprise and open-source security tooling to assess and improve client security posture.
  • Contribute to internal lab projects and open-source projects on ControlPlane’s behalf.
  • Support the development of ControlPlane’s collaborative, inclusive engineering culture.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK or EU.
  • Knowledge of threat modelling and cloud-native security architectures across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containers, including platforms such as EKS, GKE, AKS, or OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of software supply-chain security.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and engineering practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated security testing, and pipeline hardening.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security tools such as Aqua, Prisma, Sysdig, or Lacework and/or open-source tools such as Falco, kube-hunter, and kube-bench.
  • Experience using hardening guides, compliance frameworks, and risk-management standards.
  • Experience with CLI tooling, Golang or Python, and Terraform or infrastructure-as-code practices is desirable.
  • Strong learning mindset, collaboration, professionalism, and respect for diverse teams.
