Description

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products, services, and integration options to prospective customers.
  • Support tailored lightweight proofs-of-concept (POCs) that address specific prospect use cases and demonstrate Constructor’s value.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor by cultivating strong relationships with prospects and serving as their primary technical point of contact.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, customer success, marketing, and the sales team to provide prospect feedback and influence the product roadmap.
  • Work closely with sales to strategize and align prospect requirements with product capabilities throughout the sales cycle.
  • Provide industry thought leadership in internal meetings, prospect meetings, webinars, and trade shows.
  • Confer with prospective customers and engineers to determine system integrations and requirements (ecommerce, PIM, CMS, API integrations) and map them to appropriate Constructor solutions.
  • Assist with RFP and RFI responses and contribute to enablement, training, documentation, and process definition for the SE function.
  • Stay up to date on company solutions, documentation, releases, industry trends, and competitor activity and leverage that knowledge to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years in technical selling or consultancy (Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or similar).
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business value and support the sales process from discovery through closing deals.
  • Experience with ecommerce and familiarity with AI/ML concepts and how they apply to product discovery/search.
  • Proficiency triaging and working with REST APIs, including troubleshooting and using tools like Postman.
  • Understanding of JavaScript and JSON to interpret and communicate technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, SaaS architectures, solution design, software development methodologies, security requirements, and enterprise integrations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and active listening skills with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-suite stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with system integrators and prospect development teams and managing multiple projects across salespeople and SEs.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to build processes, work proactively in ambiguity, and help scale a new Solutions Engineering function in a remote company.
  • Native-level French or German speaker required; Western and Central European time zone strongly preferred.
