Description

  • Own the quality and business impact of the recommendations product by driving improvements to key metrics.
  • Lead, coach, and grow the engineering team through hiring and team development.
  • Set technical direction for the team and translate product goals into an executable engineering plan.
  • Ensure the recommendations system is reliable, scalable, and compliant with strict SLAs.
  • Work to build a market-leading recommendations-as-a-service product.
  • Help create an environment where engineers can do their best work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning, including at least 2 years leading engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure and SQL.
  • Experience with at least one deep learning framework.
  • Solid engineering fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, system design, and APIs.
  • Experience setting technical direction and translating product goals into actionable plans.
  • Experience hiring and growing engineers in growing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable joining meetings between 11:00–17:00 UTC.
