Description

  • Oversee engagement with state systems and member institutions to design and implement large-scale solutions that expand access to post-secondary opportunities
  • Manage comprehensive, customized approaches to support state-level implementation of Common App offerings
  • Partner with internal teams (Constituent Engagement, Product Strategy, Marketing, Enterprise Operations, etc.) to coordinate resources and deliverables
  • Ensure state partners achieve success, driving retention and growth of Common App’s state-level impact
  • Develop and document business plans and implementation strategies for state initiatives
  • Lead and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, timelines, and dependencies
  • Present to and facilitate conversations with small and large groups of stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze program data to evaluate outcomes and inform decision-making
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to team leadership

Requirements

  • Must live in the United States
  • Willingness to travel to attend twice-annual Common App retreats
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5–8 years of experience in higher education relationship-building and/or advocacy
  • Project management experience and success managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of the undergraduate and post-traditional college application landscape and competitor technology differentiators
  • Experience creating and documenting business plans and strong organizational and management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and comfort presenting to small and large groups
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort leveraging data to analyze initiative results and outcomes
  • Preferred: Agile or other project management methodology experience or training; knowledge of higher education state systems and organizations; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, and Tableau or other reporting tools; experience in education administration, communications, business, or marketing
