Description

  • Lead day-to-day construction activities across multiple data center projects to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
  • Manage and mentor external construction project managers and internal team members across several projects.
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams on owner-furnished equipment and materials to support timely procurement and delivery.
  • Enforce jobsite safety requirements and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Support entitlement efforts, including building permits and local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) approvals.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to develop and maintain project schedules and milestone delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to support successful project execution.
  • Prepare and oversee construction estimates, project budgets, and unit cost reports with financial accuracy.
  • Lead pre-award and pre-construction meetings, value engineering, contract negotiations, and scope reviews.
  • Oversee change orders, monthly pay requests, commissioning coordination, and final project closeout documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of construction project management experience, including at least 5 years in mission-critical or data center environments.
  • Proven experience leading complex, large-scale construction projects, preferably data centers or similar facilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management experience, including mentoring and developing project teams.
  • Proficiency with project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based commissioning platforms, and financial management tools.
  • Deep understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices, especially in the Columbus and Johnstown markets.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and within Canada as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship or transfer available, including CPT/OPT.
