Description

  • Design and develop web applications and software solutions that meet business needs and requirements.
  • Execute full software development lifecycles aligned with the department’s strategy.
  • Write clean, reusable, maintainable code and libraries, and deploy code to production effectively.
  • Keep source code and dependencies up to date.
  • Conduct code reviews and uphold coding best practices across the team.
  • Write concise documentation and maintain team knowledge base resources.
  • Replicate defects, analyze implementation issues, and work with QA and other teams to resolve problems.
  • Stay current on emerging software development trends and share knowledge with the team.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver features on time.
  • Mentor interns and junior software engineers and support ad hoc company tasks.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of software development experience or similar experience in Agile teams.
  • Experience shipping high-quality, scalable applications in production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or relevant professional-level certifications.
  • Familiarity with CoinGecko products and some understanding of finance, blockchain, or cryptocurrencies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and ability to write high-quality, well-tested code.
  • Experience with both front-end and back-end development and simple deployment tools.
  • Strong attention to design details.
  • Prior experience delivering work in Agile/SCRUM environments.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working effectively in a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to estimate time and complexity for moderately scoped individual features or problems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and user empathy.
  • Working knowledge of Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, Postgres, and cloud services is preferred.
  • Interest in decentralized technologies and their applications, including cryptocurrencies is preferred.
