Description

  • Design and develop web applications and software solutions that meet business needs and requirements.
  • Execute full software development lifecycles based on the department strategy.
  • Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code and libraries.
  • Develop and deploy code into the production environment effectively.
  • Conduct code reviews and uphold best practices across the team and projects.
  • Write concise documentation and keep team knowledge base resources up to date.
  • Replicate defects, diagnose issues from code implementation, and resolve them in coordination with QA and other teams.
  • Stay current with emerging software development trends and share knowledge with the team.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver work in a timely and effective manner.
  • Mentor interns and junior software engineers and support ad hoc company tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of software development experience or similar experience in Agile teams.
  • Experience shipping high-quality, scalable applications in production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or relevant professional-level certifications.
  • Familiarity with CoinGecko products and some understanding of finance, blockchain, or cryptocurrencies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and ability to write high-quality, well-tested code.
  • Experience with both front-end and back-end development and simple deployment tools.
  • Prior experience delivering work in Agile/SCRUM environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, Postgres, and cloud services is nice to have.
  • Keen interest in decentralized technologies and applications including cryptocurrencies is nice to have.
