Description

  • Design and implement Agentic AI systems for Coinbase’s customer support experience and compliance processes.
  • Design primitives, orchestration platforms, and tools that let other domains adopt Agentic AI quickly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across product and financial operations organizations.
  • Help shape the strategy and execution path for Coinbase Platform.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using technical expertise.
  • Mentor and train team members on design techniques and coding standards.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer needs.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in backend software engineering using Golang or similar languages.
  • Experience bringing an LLM-based application to production.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful solutions that power significant customer flows and processes.
  • Experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous, high-impact problems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of distributed systems that process massive scale.
  • Solid communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relentless drive to set and achieve ambitious goals.
  • Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.
  • Experience with LLMs and Agentic AI is a big plus, including improving grounding to a corpus and reducing hallucinations.
  • Experience in customer support, compliance, or financial crimes domains is preferred.
  • Experience making build/buy decisions is preferred.

Benefits

  • Target annual base salary of $253,895 to $298,700 USD, depending on location.
  • Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Remote-first flexibility for many roles, with required in-person participation throughout the year.
  • Team and company-wide offsites held multiple times annually, fully supported by the company.
