Description

  • Lead and support multiple engineering teams, including senior engineers and engineering managers, to ensure consistent delivery and healthy team operations.
  • Define and guide technical architecture and long-term system strategy across teams in collaboration with EMEA engineering leadership.
  • Own and manage technical roadmaps with the VP of Product, VP of Engineering, and Director of Engineering in EMEA.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to align engineering priorities with product goals and customer needs.
  • Ensure clear execution plans through backlog management, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Drive team velocity by identifying blockers and keeping delivery cadence high without sacrificing quality.
  • Measure team effectiveness and continuously improve delivery processes, engineering practices, and overall team performance.
  • Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning for senior engineering staff.
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, performance management, and exits for your teams.
  • Maintain visibility into system reliability and operational health, including participating in on-call rotations when needed.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand pain points and ensure engineering work delivers real customer value.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant technical leadership or management experience.
  • Experience managing engineering teams and engineering managers.
  • Experience in all parts of people management, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance reviews, and difficult conversations.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams that deliver complex, reliable software systems.
  • Hands-on fluency with AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code, with daily use in your workflow and team adoption experience.
  • Experience owning technical strategy, architecture direction, and engineering roadmaps across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders to drive outcomes.
  • Experience working in fast-moving product organizations with iterative development and continuous delivery.
  • Experience supporting distributed or globally distributed engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of system reliability, operational excellence, and maintaining system health at scale.
  • Permanent and unrestricted right to work in your country of residence without current or future sponsorship.
  • East Coast hours availability and U.S. location for this remote role.

  • Base salary of $250,000-$275,000 per year, plus equity.
