Description

  • Design, build, and maintain high-throughput batch and streaming pipelines for global financial transactions.
  • Design, scale, and optimize cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures for structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to develop reliable data solutions.
  • Implement data quality frameworks, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting to support integrity, availability, and SLA compliance.
  • Drive DataOps practices, including CI/CD, workflow automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Enforce data governance, privacy, and security standards, including GDPR/LGPD compliance.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level Data Engineers and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or related Software Engineering roles managing production-grade, high-volume data systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; Scala or Java experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Apache Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, modern lakehouse architectures, and Data Mesh principles.
  • Expertise with AWS services including S3, Glue, Athena, EventBridge, Firehose, and Lambda.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools and warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Experience designing real-time streaming systems with Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis and using dbt.
  • Knowledge of Git, Docker, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Advanced English proficiency for technical and non-technical communication.
  • Fintech, payments, e-commerce, Databricks, Terraform, data governance, or mentoring experience is preferred.
