Description

  • Develop the strategy for Code.org’s 6-12 curriculum products in partnership with the Director of Teaching and Learning.
  • Manage and mentor the 6-12 curriculum content development team while fostering an inclusive and productive culture.
  • Lead curriculum product builds and launches by managing roadmaps, milestones, resources, workflows, and development processes.
  • Set goals, define metrics, and evaluate product performance using pilots, surveys, focus groups, observations, and other data sources.
  • Monitor adoption, usage, retention, and satisfaction to inform product strategy and improvements.
  • Review curriculum products in development and coordinate external review processes with subject matter experts and teacher reviewers.
  • Build partnerships and collaborate cross-functionally with product management, design, engineering, marketing, data, and other teams.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, leadership, and development teams to align on priorities and execution.
  • Maintain deep understanding of student, district, school, and partner needs for 6-12 CS and AI curriculum.
  • Represent Code.org values and contribute to team practices, rituals, and culture.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing and developing 6-12 learning products, ideally CS- and AI-focused, at scale.
  • Experience as a product manager in the 6-12 ed tech or curriculum provider space, with curriculum development experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of people management experience, or equivalent mentoring or contractor management experience.
  • Deep knowledge of CS and AI concepts aligned to at least the 6-12 CSTA standards and the AI Literacy Framework.
  • Fluency in at least one text-based programming language, such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Direct teaching experience in CS and/or AI, particularly in grades 6-12, preferred.
  • Deep understanding of curriculum development principles and designing effective 6-12 learning experiences in online and blended environments.
  • Experience using product, market, and customer data to make product decisions.
  • Experience leading, managing, and prioritizing multiple complex projects, ideally with project management tools.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, bias for action, intellectual curiosity, and comfort with risk-taking and failure as part of learning.
  • Passion for CS and AI education and the Code.org mission.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and work within the United States.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and be willing to travel at least twice per year for team events.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $117,000 to $130,000.
