Description

  • Own features end-to-end, from defining the problem and shaping the solution through implementation and production validation.
  • Architect server-side systems with a strong focus on performance, correctness, and operational simplicity.
  • Write behavior specs before implementation to define success in machine-verifiable terms.
  • Lead design and code reviews that raise the technical bar across the team.
  • Identify and drive improvements to team processes, tooling, and engineering practices.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on complex production issues and fix the underlying problem.
  • Work on traffic classification, protocol-level enforcement, and WAF evolution for the IDS/IPS layer.
  • Collaborate with the team on high-stakes web request security problems affecting hosting-scale traffic.

Requirements

  • 8 years of progressive experience in software development.
  • Fluency with AI-assisted development workflows, including brainstorming, specification, implementation, and validation.
  • Strong, production-proven proficiency in Go as the primary language.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux in production environments such as CentOS, Debian, or similar.
  • Experience with the Linux network stack.
  • Experience with BDD or similar behavior-driven approaches to defining and validating software.
  • Product mindset with a focus on outcomes rather than tasks.
  • Python, C, or Rust familiarity or working experience is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of network and web security, including WAF, IDS/IPS, or traffic analysis, is preferred.
  • Experience building AI-powered features or integrating ML into production systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hosting environments such as cPanel, Plesk, nginx, or Apache is preferred.
