Description

  • Design and implement backend systems and APIs for ingesting, querying, and analyzing observability data at scale.
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Use Kubernetes, Helm, and infrastructure-as-code to simplify and harden production deployments.
  • Define and improve CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and alerting practices across the platform.
  • Automate testing, scaling, and incident response workflows to support operational excellence.
  • Design and operate ingestion and data processing pipelines that remain performant and resilient at petabyte-level workloads.
  • Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers to solve problems and incorporate feedback into the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Deep understanding of APIs, event-driven systems, and high-throughput data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with analytical databases; ClickHouse experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, plus Helm for production deployments.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and production-grade alerting practices.
  • Bonus: expertise in distributed systems, ingestion pipelines, and columnar databases.
  • Bonus: experience scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Bonus: background in developer tooling, open-source contributions, SDKs/integrations in multiple languages, or ReactJS/frontend development.
