Description

Design and implement AI-powered features across the full stack, including backend inference services and frontend interfaces.
Create scalable APIs that connect ClickHouse’s database capabilities with AI/ML inference systems and internal or external AI services.
Implement and maintain integrations with the broader AI/ML ecosystem and related standards.
Integrate models into production systems with monitoring, versioning, observability, and evaluation.
Participate in the daytime on-call rotation with the rest of the team.
Design and implement developer tools, SDKs, and documentation for ClickHouse’s AI/ML capabilities.
Work on products and shared components that enable other ClickHouse teams to ship AI features in their own surfaces.
Own features from concept to production with a high level of independence.

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
Backend development experience in TypeScript or Python, with a focus on API design and service architecture.
Backend development experience in one of Python, Go, or TypeScript, with a focus on API design and service architecture.
Exposure to working directly with AI/ML technologies.
Ability to thrive in collaborative environments and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
High ownership and ability to drive features from concept to production with minimal supervision.
Experience integrating and deploying AI/ML models in production systems, including inference APIs and vector databases, is preferred.
Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, particularly AI/ML deployment services, is preferred.
Understanding of database systems and data processing pipelines is preferred, with ClickHouse experience as a significant plus.
