Description

  • Develop ClickHouse training courses for on-demand and instructor-led delivery, including slides, videos, and hands-on labs.
  • Design new training courses for different ClickHouse user personas in collaboration with Engineering and Product.
  • Work with other curriculum developers to produce high-quality on-demand training content for ClickHouse Academy.
  • Teach ClickHouse courses virtually and in person for public and private audiences.
  • Help write and deploy quizzes and certification exams for ClickHouse credentials and certifications.
  • Build a community presence through social media, conferences, talks, and other public events.
  • Travel to meetups, conferences, and customer sites to deliver training and promote ClickHouse.
  • Collaborate across teams to determine course content and support training initiatives.

Requirements

  • Must be located in North America.
  • Must be able to travel regionally throughout North America.
  • Self-motivated with the determination to complete projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
  • Proven experience developing curriculum for a highly technical audience such as software engineers and database developers.
  • Proven ability to teach audiences of different sizes and backgrounds.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Technical breadth in areas such as DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, and big data.
  • High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.
  • 5+ years of experience with curriculum development for databases and/or distributed systems (bonus).
  • Strong knowledge of building machine learning applications and/or GenAI (bonus).
  • Strong knowledge of database internals and deploying them at scale (bonus).
  • Experience with ClickHouse database (bonus).
  • Experience with one or more cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (bonus).
  • Experience building software certification exams (bonus).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, support, product, and development teams (bonus).
  • Technical degree such as Computer Science or a related field (bonus).

  • Typical starting salary of $132,000 to $166,000 USD in the US.
  • Typical starting salary of $147,000 to $184,000 USD in US premium markets.
