Description

  • Redesign and automate the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process, replacing manual Excel-based workflows.
  • Evaluate, select, implement, and drive adoption of FP&A and planning tools across Finance.
  • Lead corporate financial planning, budgeting, long-range forecasting, and scenario modeling across SaaS and outcomes-based revenue streams.
  • Build and maintain core financial models for success-fee contracts, at-risk revenue, multi-year partnerships, and SaaS metrics.
  • Advise the CFO on the financial implications of pricing, product, market expansion, and resource-allocation decisions.
  • Build fundraising materials, investor models, and diligence support for equity and debt processes.
  • Lead financial diligence and integration modeling for M&A activity.
  • Partner with Accounting, Sales, and Operations on ASC 606 revenue recognition, ARR reporting, deal structuring, quote-to-cash processes, and SFDC reporting.
  • Prepare budget-versus-actual analyses and board- and investor-ready reporting, dashboards, and financial narratives.
  • Improve reporting infrastructure and partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure accurate, auditable financial and commercial data.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of progressive finance experience, including meaningful experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or specialty/credit lending and a successful transition to an operating company.
  • Advanced financial modeling and diligence skills, including building complex three-statement models and scenario analyses from scratch under time pressure.
  • Hands-on experience automating budgeting and forecasting processes, selecting FP&A/planning tools, and reducing spreadsheet-based workflows.
  • Daily, practical use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to accelerate modeling, diligence, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new domains and succeed through an industry, function, or company-stage pivot.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity within a complex, evolving revenue model.
  • Experience with fundraising, M&A diligence or integration, SaaS metrics, GAAP/ASC 606, or financial systems implementation is strongly preferred.
  • Healthcare, life sciences, tech-enabled services, venture-backed high-growth, and/or Pacific Standard Time zone experience is preferred; CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
