Description

  • Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native and related technologies with a focus on performance, accessibility, usability, and consistent iOS and Android experiences.
  • Define and implement modern interfaces using TypeScript, Styled Components, and the team’s preferred styling libraries, following good practices for componentization, state management, and navigation.
  • Integrate mobile applications with external services through APIs, events, and other approaches, ensuring efficient, secure, and resilient communication.
  • Use Expo platform capabilities such as OTA updates, push notifications, deep linking, and sensor access in a secure and scalable way.
  • Define and implement application architecture based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Estimate, develop, and deliver features in an agile environment, participating in Scrum/Kanban ceremonies and stakeholder alignments.
  • Implement automated tests using modern React Native and Expo ecosystem tools.
  • Participate in code reviews to improve code quality, consistency, and maintainability.
  • Support investigation, monitoring, and resolution of bugs, crashes, performance issues, battery consumption, and memory usage problems.
  • Document technical decisions, architectures, flows, and best practices to support internal guides and standards.

Requirements

  • Solid experience developing mobile applications with React Native, preferably using Expo and TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of modern React Native practices, including componentization, hooks, state management, navigation, and REST/GraphQL API consumption.
  • Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, S3, and Cognito.
  • Practical knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and consuming that data through APIs in mobile apps.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD for mobile applications, including automated build, test, and deploy pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitrise, or CircleCI.
  • Experience working in agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban within multidisciplinary squads.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing in a mobile context.
  • Knowledge of mobile UX/UI best practices, platform guidelines such as Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design, and basic accessibility concepts.
  • Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture, including how mobile apps integrate with that ecosystem.
  • Practical knowledge of observability and resilience for mobile applications, including crash monitoring, performance, logs, feature flags, and circuit breakers for API consumption.
  • Experience with mobile application security, including secure storage, token protection, proper certificate usage, and anti-tampering practices.
  • Knowledge of build, distribution, and release processes for apps using Expo EAS, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store, including certificate, profile, and version management.
  • Experience in large-scale mobile development environments with multiple apps, teams, or business domains is a plus.
  • Experience with feature toggles, A/B testing, and experimentation in mobile applications is a plus.
  • Contribution to React Native or Expo open source projects, or participation in the community through meetups, talks, or articles, is a plus.
