Description

  • Define end-to-end architectures for Legacy Modernization, Data Platforms, and Composable/Headless Commerce engagements to turn technical strategy into business value.
  • Design Headless/Composable Commerce solutions that decouple front-end experiences (React/Next.js) from back-end systems (e.g., SAP Hybris) using BFF and event-driven approaches.
  • Define API strategies and orchestrate integrations using Azure API Management between CMS (Amplience), commerce engines (Shopify/Salesforce), and ERPs.
  • Architect modern Data Platforms using Databricks and Delta Lake on Azure, and specify ETL/ELT and Lakehouse patterns.
  • Oversee migration of complex legacy logic (Alteryx/Excel/SQL) into standardized PySpark and Delta Live Tables pipelines.
  • Define and enforce Data Governance and data quality standards (Unity Catalog/Microsoft Purview and automated validation frameworks such as Great Expectations).
  • Champion DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Drive adoption of AI-augmented development (agentic AI, copilots) and mentor Senior Architects and Tech Leads while reviewing technical designs and ensuring engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams across the UK, Europe, and Brazil to align technical solutions with business KPIs and delivery goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect in large-scale modernization programs and transformations.
  • Experience leading large-scale migrations from on-prem/monolithic systems to cloud-native architectures (e.g., Strangler Fig pattern).
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (APIM, Functions, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure SQL/Data Lake).
  • Experience architecting both application layers (APIs/Microservices) and data layers (Lakehouse/ETL) end-to-end.
  • Solid development experience with Node.js and/or Python ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Data Engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience with Headless Commerce principles and technologies (Next.js, CMS integration, API gateways).
  • Familiarity with ERP integrations such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP.
  • Fluent English with the ability to present complex technical concepts to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to map technical solutions to business KPIs (e.g., reducing operational complexity, improving billing accuracy, increasing site performance).
  • Nice to have: knowledge of SAP Hybris or Alteryx, FinOps experience for cloud cost optimization, and experience with GenAI tools for code generation and legacy code analysis.
